ChatGPT Plus – No “Settings” Menu After Payment? Korean Users Deserve Better
I’m a paying ChatGPT Plus user based in South Korea.
Despite subscribing to the service, the Settings menu has never been available to me — not even once.
Additionally, Voice Mode randomly activated for a brief moment and then disappeared,
and due to the lack of settings access, I had no control over this feature.
Steps I’ve taken to resolve the issue:
Reinstalling the app
Logging out/in again
Sending multiple emails (with screenshots) to support@openai.com
Analyzing Gmail bounce-back errors
Attempted support via help.openai.com,
but mobile access is extremely limited and Korean support is unavailable
It feels like I’m a paying user without any premium features.
Key concerns:
Functionality appears to vary by country/device/language
No clear explanation or roadmap for availability of features
No compensation or resolution pathway despite multiple reports
As a user, I request:
A clear explanation for missing settings
Transparent standards for which features are enabled and for whom
Equal access for Korean users who are also paying customers
